I have rules here which will apply to how you create an RP and how it is played. I wish to keep things in order, and in here will be a section for "Admin Created RP's Only" where there will be a series of RP's available... If you wish to have a section for your own RP's, please request one from a Mod or me, the Admin. If you wish to create RP's which follow your own rules, please pass it by the Admin or a Mod first, thank you! If you need any help in creating or directing an RP, feel free to ask a Mod or the Admin for assistance.
The rules:
1. (Most likely the most important) No drastic powers, such as instantanious healing,
conjuring elements (Unless you're a wizard or something, then a storm or two won't hurt...), and no teleporting. I want this to be as natural as
possible. You can have skills, such as good fighting abilities, and you
can be skilled at tending wounds and such, but nothing drastic.
2. No powerplaying without permission, since this may come off as rude to some people, and thus create an awkward RP. Powerplaying or GodModding is when you create actions and reactions for your fellow RP'ers and you post them as your post without permission from them personally. Basically GodModding is also when you try to take over the RP and make it focus on you and your situation without permission from the creator of the RP. (Disregarding this rule could lead to you being banned from the RP or even the forum itself, so please pay heed!)
3. If you join an RP late, please read the whole thread before posting.
It will cut down on confusion.
4. I would much prefer to see experienced RP’ers joining and creating RP's, who have the ability to post decent posts and not one-liners. In other words, keep your one-liners to an extreme minimum! And also, please be generous with the information on your character.
5. When creating an RP, keep in mind the others, and make it possible for each to play a decent role in the story, plus I would much apprieciate it if you could clarify what sort of characters you have in mind and give examples of what their role to be... it might give your fellow RP'ers an idea on how to join. (Though this is not a must, it is a rule which merely requests you consider others)
6. Last, but not least, give everyone a fair chance to participate by waiting for them if they have trouble keeping up. I know
things get out of hand and we all have a hard time with considering
everyone, but we can at least try, because we all have busy lives.
